Graduate Guides

The Boston College Sociology Department has two separate guides for its graduate students:
- The Guide to Graduate Study, otherwise known as "The Blue Book," which lists all of our graduate program's formal rules and procedures.
- The Smart Guide to Getting Done, an informal collection of tips for getting through a Boston College Sociology MA or Ph.D. degree.
New students will probably want to familiarize themselves with pages 2-9 in the Smart Guide and pages 3-11 of the Guide to Graduate Study before starting classes.
