Academic Interests: Brendan studies the function of imagination and memory. He uses behavioral and fMRI methods to uncover their shared cognitive and neural basis, and how these abilities change in healthy and pathological aging. Recently, he has begun exploring the role of imagination and memory in fostering empathy and prosocial behavior.
