Academic Interests: I am interested in understanding the neural circuits underlying social behaviors. I am particularly interested in how these systems differ across the lifespan and between sexes. Oxytocin and vasopressin are known to be critical to the control of many social behaviors. In my current project, I aim to elucidate the roles of these neuropeptides in the modulation of social preference and affiliation in males and females, as well as juvenile and adult animals.
