Academic Interests: Broadly, my research interests are in cognitive development and education. In particular, I’m interested in children’s understanding of mathematics and related domains, like number. I’m currently looking at the learning and understanding of fractions, the transition from arithmetic to algebra, and how early conceptual knowledge and abilities relate to later overall mathematics achievement. I’m also particularly interested in applying cognitive development research to math education.
