Summer Camp visits the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Lab
In the photo above and below, Jackie Ford and Katherine Steinmetz explain how to apply EEG electrodes and track their signal. Junior Anthony Cossette kindly agreed to be the participant.
As part of their "mad scientists" week at camp, the campers learn how to administer the Stroop test in a session led by Kelly Bennion and John Morris.
With the help of undergraduate students Jackie Early and Matt Hall and graduate student Laura Paige, campers learn how a helmet can protect the brain by comparing eggs dropped with and without a "helmet" made of packing peanuts.
Halle Zucker, who organized the visit with the campers, answers their questions at the end of the session.
