Internship Opportunities, Fall 2013

We get unsolicited information about internships, and will put them up on this site so that students can investigate them. We cannot vouch for the value of any of the offers posted here, and advise students to investigate internship offers carefully before committing to them.

Generation Citizen

Generation Citizen (GC), is a growing nonprofit that sends college students into high schools to teach civic engagement and activism to the city's students.

We are looking for politics-oriented students to serve as volunteer Democracy Coaches for our upcoming fall semester.

If you are interested in discussing more about what our program offers our college students, how we can work together, or learning more about what GC does, please reach out to me at either my cell (listed below) or this email. I did GC myself for 3 semesters in college before coming on full-time, and as a Political Science major and Education minor I can attest that it provided incredible context to my studies.

Jeff Ross for Boston City Council

My name is Wes Ritchie and I've worked with some of you in the past regarding internships both for MassEquality and for the Jeff Ross for Boston City Council Campaign. I'm writing as the Campaign Manager for a fast-paced Boston City Council race, and I'm looking to recruit 5-6 interns for the Fall 2013 semester. Our site is currently managing 7 interns, and several are staying on through the summer. I'm looking for other politically or community-oriented folks who you think would be interested in joining our campaign through November.

Jeff Ross is running to be the first openly LGBT Boston city councilor ever elected city-wide. He has a great shot at it! For more information for your students or about the campaign, please visit our website here: www.jeffrossboston.com

We do not have the means of verifying the quality of the internship offers posted here. Please exercise caution before making any commitments. It does not seem unreasonable to ask an internship program for references.
