We do not have the means of verifying the quality of the internship offers posted here. Please exercise caution before making any commitments. It does not seem unreasonable to ask an internship program for references.


Internships in London

City Internships provides all-inclusive Summer Internship Programs in London for students seeking to gain access to careers in the Banking and Finance, Legal and Professional, and Creative and Media Industries. The site is currently displaying information about internships in sales and trading, legal services, hedge funds, corporate finance, renewable energy, the 2012 London Olympics, and local charities.

The 2012 Summer Internship Program last eight weeks, commencing on Monday, July 2, 2012 and concluding on Friday, August 25, 2012. Online application


MATCH Teacher Residency Program, Boston

This program aims to “give recent college graduates one year of incredibly intense training designed to make them unusually effective rookie teachers. We then help them find positions in high-need schools, and continue to support them as they begin their careers in the classroom.” Information and application


Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC), Washington, D.C.

A “nonpartisan health policy research organization in Washington, DC” it is currently recruiting for a number of Health Research Assistant positions that will begin in the summer of 2012. Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems, Washington, D.C.

Sponsored by the Fund for American Studies and held at Georgetown University, this an academic internship program for undergraduates interested in public policy and economics.

 The program’s “priority deadline” is February 7, but it accepts applications on a rolling basis until March 7. Some recent internship placements include The American Family Business Institute, the American Red Cross, the District of Columbia Mayor’s office, various federal agencies, and the Southern Governors’ Association. Summer 2012 Live, Learn, Intern Program, Washington D.C.

This program seeks to provide students with the opportunity to gain substantive professional experience while experiencing the excitement of Washington, DC. Sponsored by The Fund for American Studies and held at Georgetown University, the Institutes combine internships for 30-35 hours a week, courses for academic credit, site briefings, and lectures led by prominent policy experts. Some past internship placements include congressional offices, federal agencies, foreign embassies, news organizations, corporate lobbies, and nonprofit community service organizations. Legislative Internship, Massachusetts Legislature, Boston

The Office of Representative Tom Sannicandro is looking for two interns. Rep. Sannicandro represents the 7th Middlesex District, and is Chair of the Joint Committee on Higher Education. The notice states that “The Joint Committee on Higher Education in the Massachusetts Legislature is excited to offer the opportunity to an academically advanced undergraduate student, college graduate, law student, or graduate student to engage in substantive research on public higher education and get an inside look at legislative policymaking.” If interested, email Courtney.Elgart@mahouse.gov.
