Mathematics Tutoring Service
General mathematics tutoring is offered throughout the semester. We primarily support all of our Calculus courses, and some help is available for core-level courses (MT 004), Linear Algebra, and Math for Management Science.
Tutoring is provided in Carney Hall, Room 309 on a first-come, first-serve basis and is available at no charge. This operation is staffed by many undergraduate math majors who read and grade papers in the classes you are probably taking this semester. Show up, ask a question!
Tutoring Services at The Connors Family Learning Center
The Connors Family Learning Center in O'Neill Library maintains a regular tutoring service during the semester. They are primarily responsible for providing free tutoring to the student body at large, support services to students with learning disabilities or Attention Deficit Disorder, and instructional support for graduate students and faculty.
Private Tutoring
The Mathematics Office does not maintain a regular list of private tutors (tutors for hire). However, from time to time students and some non-BC individuals do advise us of their availability for tutoring. Please contact the department office in Carney 301 during normal business hours to check whether anyone has indicated their availability for the term. We do not make this list available online.
