McIntyre Professorship

Prof. Solomon Friedberg, Chair of the Department, has been appointed McIntyre Professor of Mathematics.

International Cooperation

BC's Math Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mathematical Sciences Center and Department of Mathematical Sciences at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, to encourage cooperation and the exchange of scholars.

ICM Invitation to Prof. Tao Li

Congratulations to Tao Li, Professor and Assistant Chair for Graduate Programs, who has been invited to give an address at the 2014 International Congress of Mathematicians. Such an invitation is one of mathematics' highest honors.
