NSF Graduate Fellowship Award
Congratulations to Lisa Piccirillo '13, who has been awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to pursue a PhD in mathematics.
First Math PhD
Congratulations to David Hansen, who successfully defended his doctoral dissertation "Overconvergent cohomology: theory and applications." Dave will become the first PhD in math this spring.
Sloan Fellows

Congratulations to Assistant Profs. Joshua Greene and David Treumann who have been selected as 2013 Sloan Fellows in recognition of their outstanding scholarship.
Tao Li promoted to Full Professor
Congratulations to Tao Li, who has been promoted to Full Professor in recognition of his professional accomplishments in scholarship, teaching and service.
Distinguished Ordway Lecturer
Prof. Solomon Friedberg has been selected as Distinguished Ordway Lecturer at the University of Minnesota. Prof. Friedberg will give a series of lectures there during the 2013-2014 academic year.
