The Director will review the proposed plan of study, in consultation with the student and other faculty in the program. If the proposed plan is accepted the Director will grant approval for the student to become a Latin American Studies minor.

Proposed Plan of Study:
The Latin American Studies minor requires a total of six courses from among those approved for the program, taken from at least three different academic departments. The six courses must have a unifying theme or focus.

Language Study:
Spanish or Portuguese language proficiency equivalent to completion of a third-year college course is required for the Latin American Studies minor. Please indicate the language you will study and the level you have thus far completed.

Study Abroad:
Foreign study is strongly encouraged for all Latin American Studies minors. Please indicate your plans for study abroad.
