Department of Classical Studies
The Department of Classical Studies offers courses in elementary and intermediate Latin, Greek, and Modern Greek; reading courses in ancient authors and genres in their original languages; and courses in ancient culture.

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures offers an extensive program of language, literature, and cultural study in French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, both on the Chestnut Hill campus and in many countries overseas through its international partnerships.

The Department of Slavic & Eastern Languages provides graduate- and undergraduate-level courses of study through its three overlapping component programs: The Program in Linguistics, The Program in Slavic Studies, and The Program in Asian Studies.
