Visiting Assistant Professor
Boston College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach intermediate to upper-level German courses. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment with a 3/3 teaching load and a two-year term, beginning July 1, 2013. We seek a candidate with native or near native fluency in German, Ph.D. in hand, evidence of excellence in teaching German at the college level, the ability to teach a course in contemporary German politics and culture, and willingness to advise majors and minors and to participate actively in the life of the department. Expertise in foreign language pedagogy and assessment also welcome.
