Computer Science Lab Renovations

09/22/11

Major renovations begun in the summer of 2011 to the Computer Science Undergraduate Laboratory in Fulton 160 are now completed. So far, the feedback received from students has been overwhelmingly positive.

Department faculty responded to feedback received by the students. All new Apple iMacs running OS X and Windows 7 were installed. The lab's interior design was upgraded for a more modern appearance as well as better functionality. New tables for the desktop computers have been placed against the outer walls, while the interior of the room sports circular tables -- complete with power strips -- for users with laptops. Also, the lab received new carpeting and a new coat of paint. And just this week the department received the final shipment of new chairs that had been on back-order.
