Eligibility for Honors Program

To be accepted into the Communication Honors Program you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher at the time you enter the program and, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher until graduation. A student who is not eligible in a particular semester might obtain eligibility the following semester by improving their cumulative GPA.

In order to graduate with Communication Honors, a student must maintain a cumulative 3.75 or higher GPA, earn grades of A or A- in both honors seminars, and satisfactorily complete the honors thesis according to the standards of the Communication department and the student's thesis advisor. Honors students will receive a total of nine credit hours for their participation in, and completion of, the program. Six of these hours will be earned in the honors seminars and three will be earned through the writing of the honors thesis.
