Curriculum Vitae

Seung-A Annie Jin joined the department after earning her doctorate from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California (Ph.D. 2007).
 
Dr. Jin’s main research interests include (1) New Media and Communication Technologies; (2) Virtual Self and Avatars; (3) Consumer Behavior; (4) Health Communication; and (5) Human-Computer-Interaction (HCI) and Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC).
 
Her interdisciplinary scholarship has been published in numerous journals such as the Journal of Communication, CyberPsychology, Behavior and Social Networking, Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Interactive Advertising, Interactive Learning Environments, Psychology & Marketing, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Computers in Human Behavior, Behaviour and Information Technology, Asian Journal of Communication, Presence: Teleoperators and Virtual Environments, Journal of Health Psychology, Journal of Media Psychology, Health Communication Research, Journal of Brand Management, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, among others.
 
Dr. Jin serves on the editorial board for Health Communication Research and Interactive Learning Environments.
