Robert Farrell, S.J. began his teaching career at Baghdad College, a Jesuit High School in Baghdad, Iraq.

The teacher who had the greatest influence on him was P. Albert Duhamel, Professor Emeritus of English at Boston College.

The most exciting conversations in Farrell’s life were those held with Robert Frost and Sir Colin Davis.

His most treasured object is a Mass alb, which was washed and ironed for him by a woman who was in the last lifeboat to leave the Titanic, Sister Mary Patricia of The Sisters of Mercy, now deceased.

Farrell’s mother’s last words to him were, “Keep quiet.”
