2009 Graduate Poster Session

bc science graduate students gathered together for prospective interdisciplinary collaborative projects

Graduate students in the Departments of Biology, Geology and Geophysics, Physics, and Chemistry gathered together in Higgins Hall on April 17, 2009 to showcase their research in hopes of starting interdepartmental collaborative research work amongst graduate students at BC. Over 30 graduate students presented, 13 of which were biology majors.

The Biology research projects on bioinformatics, genetics, cancer-related studies, lipid and enzyme studies, neuroscience, and cell division were presented. In addition to meeting their peers from other departments, BC science graduate students learned about each other's research, scientific techniques and methods that can be used for their future interdisciplinary collaborative projects.
