We are a research facility located in Building 2 at the Weston Observatory, Department of Geology & Geophysics at Boston College, specializing in Paleopalynology and the origin and early evolution of land plants. The laboratory pursues basic research in evolution from the perspective of the fossil record and the influence of ecological relations on evolutionary processes and patterns. Our research has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, the Petroleum Research Fund of the American Chemical Society, and The National Geographic Society.
