Karen Weisgerber, Ph.D. is a senior advisor at the Center on Wealth and Philanthropy where she is currently a co-investigator on the Family Wealth Impact Project – a project exploring the risk and resiliency factors for families of wealth.  Prior to joining the staff at CWP, Dr. Weisgerber was on the faculty of the department of Counseling, Developmental Psychology and Research Methods at Boston College for 18 years. 

Dr. Weisgerber maintains an active private practice.  She is a partner at the North Bridge Advisory Group, where she engages individuals, couples and families around the multi-faceted issues that present themselves with the distribution of wealth among siblings and across generations.  Dr. Weisgerber brings this experience to her research design and interviewing at the Center.

Dr. Weisgerber completed her Ph.D. at Boston College and her clinical internship and postdoctoral training in affiliation with Harvard Medical School, where she was also an instructor and clinical supervisor.
