Henry Rosovsky is the Former Dean of the Faculty of Arts andSciences of Harvard University. He served in numerous positions at HarvardUniversity including Professor of Economics (1965-1996), Chairman of theEconomics Department (1969-1972), Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences(1973-1991). He also worked as a member of the Harvard Corporation(1987-1997). He has worked as a consultant with the United States government,the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and UNESCO.

Marijk van der Wende is Dean of the Amsterdam University College (AUC) and Professor of Higher Education at the Free University of Amsterdam. She has published extensively on international higher education issues and is a frequent speaker on these topics in international fora. AUC is a joint institute of the University of Amsterdam and the Free University of Amsterdam, providing an international liberal arts and sciences bachelor program, taught in English in The Netherlands.

Tuning USA and the Bologna Process: Lessons from Europe and the United States

Clifford Adelman is a Senior Associate at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), and a leading U.S. expert on the Bologna Process in Europe. He currently serves as the senior domestic consultant to the Tuning USA pilot project, supported by the Lumina Foundation. Tuning USA is a faculty-led effort in three American states (Indiana, Minnesota, and Utah) that is endeavoring to define desired student outcomes in several disciplines. The project is modeled on the Tuning activities that have been undertaken in Europe and Latin America over the past several years.
