purpose of the event

The rapid growth of the US aging population, the size of the population with disabilities, the low employment rates for individuals with disabilities, the slow reemployment rate for older workers, and the growth in federal disability benefit caseloads have prompted a need to identify or better craft new policies and provide supports that promotes the employment and continued employment of aging workers with health problems and disabilities. As the US workforce ages, employers around the country are facing the prospects of an aging workforce and those with disabilities or age-related health conditions, as well as turnover due to baby boomer retirements.
