"More than 8.9 million, or 15 percent, of 50- to 64-year-olds were uninsured in 2010; of those, 37% work for employers with fewer than 25 employees, 23% are self-employed, 29% work part-time and/or part of the year," according to an AARP analysis of data from the Current Population Survey.
