Support Groups
The Women’s Resource Center provides several support groups for students at Boston College on a diverse range of issues. The groups usually meet once per week and are fully confidential and free of charge. They offer a caring atmosphere where students can come together to find support, to share their experience, or to simply listen. New members are always welcome.
HEAL
(Heal, Empowerment, Acceptance, Listening)
A confidential weekly support group for survivors of rape and sexual assault. Email Katie Dalton for the time and place of meetings.
Prism
A group for lesbian, bisexual, and/or questioning women to find community and support. Prism will meet weekly on Wednesdays at 6.30 p.m. in the Women's Resource Center.
Horizon
A group where gay, bisexual, and/or questioning men can discuss and seek support in a safe space. Horizon will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 6.30 p.m. at Gasson 209.
WRC support groups are open to all. Feel free to also stop in and meet with one of our peer counselors. We are always here to listen.
