Computer Literacy Program
One of the WRC’s newest programs, the Computer Literacy Program aims to create strong connections between Boston College dining staff members and students in the Boston College community through computer skills. Students are paired up with dining staff members to teach private computer lessons, regardless of skill level or experience.
Students who are interested in teaching computer skills should be comfortable with basic internet skills such as e-mail, and have knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. We ask student tutors to commit to two hours per week, which includes one session of teaching and one group meeting with other student tutors. The program is open to both men and women and is a great way to both foster community on campus and teach valuable and much needed technological skills.
To become involved as a tutor in the Computer Literacy Program, please fill out the form below. The WRC will be in touch shortly after receiving your responses with session times and schedule availability. If you have any questions about the program, please email the WRC at wrc@bc.edu.
