Approximately 1 in 3000 Americans are currently infected with HIV/AIDS
HIV/AIDS Infection can be through
- Sexual transmission
- Sharing needles, syringes or piercing equipment
- Contact with blood, semen, or vaginal fluids
HIV/AIDS cannot be passed by
- Casual contact
- Insect bites or stings
- Hugging or dry kissing
Be responsible and do not engage in activities that put you at risk for contracting HIV/AIDS. Abstinence is the best prevention. If you have engaged in risky behaviors, get tested.
- Health Services will perform confidential HIV/AIDS tests in the Primary Care Center in Cushing Hall. Call (617) 552-3225 for an appointment or more information.
