Beinecke Brothers Memorial Scholarship

university fellowships committee

Sophomores and Juniors may apply.

The Beinecke Brothers Memorial Scholarship Program offers generous funding for graduate study in all fields of the Humanities and the Social and Natural Sciences. Boston College is one of a select number of American universities and colleges invited to nominate candidates for the Beinecke Scholarship. The Beinecke Program is most interested in supporting those who, for financial reasons, face the prospect of not being able to pursue graduate studies. The scholarship consists of a grant of $2,000 made to the student upon completion of his or her undergraduate education, and $15,000 per year for two years of graduate school.

Candidates for the Beinecke Scholarship must be nominated by the Boston College Beinecke Nominating Committee. Interested students should contact the Boston College Campus Coordinator for the Beinecke Scholarship for information and application forms.

Application materials are available from the Boston College Beinecke Campus Coordinator in November. The application deadline is December 1.

To be competitive, interested students should contact the Beinecke Campus Coordinator during the previous Spring semester, to begin preparing their applications.

Students interested in the Beinecke Scholarships are urged to talk with the Boston College Beinecke Campus Coordinator. If you would like additional information about these awards and the application process before talking with the Campus Coordinator, consult the Beinecke Scholarship web site.
