Faculty and Staff Parking Permits

boston college transportation and parking services

Faculty and staff at Boston College who drive vehicles to the University are required to register their vehicles with the Office of Student Services and affix a valid parking permit to their vehicle. Many types of permits are available, and each has certain eligibility criteria. To see a chart that explains the costs and benefits of each type of parking permit, click here.

Please note: No permit holder may park in a designated visitor space, reserved BC service van space, or carpool space (without proper permit). Handicapped spaces may be used only by those holding a valid state accessible parking placard or plate, which must be visible at all times, along with the appropriate Boston College permit.

Parking Permit Types

Click here to see a chart with a full description of permits available to qualified employees and the restrictions of each permit. Employee parking permits are limited to current employees on the Boston College payroll system.

The employee parking permits are designed to allow flexibility for use on all four-wheeled vehicles registered to this single permit. This movable permit can be peeled and stuck to any clean windshield interior numerous times without being damaged. If the permit should fail to adhere or tear during the course of the year, please return the damaged permit to Student Services for replacement at no cost to you.

It is the responsibility of the employee to remember to register his/her vehicle with BC and post the permit in the vehicle windshield for access to the Boston College campus. There is a limit of one permit per employee at any one time.

Permits will not be granted or renewed if outstanding unpaid campus parking citations are on the individual applicant's record.

Lost and Misplaced Permits and Prox Cards

All lost permits must be reported to the BC Police Department before a new permit may be obtained through the Office of Student Services. Filing a false report will result in the permit holder's forfeiture of future parking permit privileges from Boston College. A replacement fee of $125 will be assessed for lost, stolen, or misplaced permits.

All lost or broken transponders must be reported to the BC Police Department before a new transponder may be obtained through the Office of Student Services. Click here for the Lost Transponder Form.  Filing a false report will result in the permit holder's forfeiture of future parking permit privileges from Boston College. A replacement fee of $20 will be assessed for lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged transponders.
