Commencement exercises at Boston College are scheduled for Monday, May 20, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. in Alumni Stadium. Listed below are those details that need your attention during the coming months. Please note: January 23 is the last date for all students who plan to graduate in May 2013 to confirm/post their diploma names on-line (see below).
In late March, the Commencement Guide for Families booklet with information about Commencement day will be mailed to your family. If they don’t receive it, they should contact the Office of the University Secretary, Boston College, 110 College Road, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467-3865; call 617-552-4330; or check the Commencement website website at www.bc.edu/commencement for the most up-to-date information regarding Commencement.
Also, in late March, the Undergraduate Student Commencement Guide with detailed information about caps and gowns, seating arrangements, rain tickets, and the individual college/school diploma ceremonies will be emailed from the Office of Student Services to all graduates. From the Boston College Bookstore
- Graduation Announcements
The Boston College Bookstore has mailed information about personalized graduation announcements to your local address. If you have not received this information by mid-January, call 617-552-2667 or 800-978-0978.
From the Office of Student Services
- Diploma Names
To confirm your diploma name, go to the Agora Portal, which can be accessed from any web browser or internet connection, seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. until midnight (Eastern Standard Time), and select "Diploma Name Information - View/Edit" from your "My Services" menu. Enter your Eagle ID number to view your information. Your name will appear as it is listed on the University's student system. Follow the directions and post your password at the bottom of the screen, even if you have no changes. This will ensure that your diploma is ordered correctly and that you are listed in the Commencement Program. Please note that only your name, degree, and Latin honors (if applicable) are printed on your diploma.
- Degree Audits
Degree Audits are sent from January through April to prospective graduates who are missing degree requirements. If you have not resolved potential graduation clearance problems, contact your academic recorder immediately. Academic recorders for all schools and colleges are located in Lyons Hall. They are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M.

- Senior Week 2013
Senior Week 2013 events will be announced to seniors in mid-February. Information about the events and ticket purchase procedures will also be available on the Senior Week website (www.bc.edu/seniorweek). Students participating in Senior Week events will be required to sign an agreement with the Student Programs Office that they will observe the "Senior Week Code of Conduct." In order to have a meaningful and enjoyable Senior Week, seniors are reminded to be respectful of other people and property and to obey state and federal laws.

- Commencement Guide for Families
The University Secretary's Office will be mailing A Commencement Guide for Families to the home address for all graduates in late March.
- E-Invitations
Graduates will have access to an E-Invite beginning in mid-March. Each student eligible to graduate will receive an e-mail that will provide access to the E-Invite. There is no limit to the number of E-Invites that may be sent by each student. Please note that an E-Invite is not a ticket. No tickets are required for the Main Ceremony on May 20, 2013, which takes place rain or shine in Alumni Stadium. In case of severe weather, the diploma ceremonies for the Carroll School of Management, the Lynch School of Education, and the College of Arts and Sciences may be moved and will require tickets. Ticket distribution for Arts and Sciences and Management will take place at Cap and Gown Distribution on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, May 15-17, 2013. School of Education tickets will be available through the Dean's Office.

- Commencement Guide for Students
Student Services will email the Undergraduate Student Commencement Guide with detailed information about Commencement activities, parking, seating, and tickets for some of the School/College diploma ceremonies in the event of severe weather conditions.
- Financial Services
Exit interviews are mandatory for students graduating in May, August, or December who have Perkins, Presidential, Nursing, and/or Stafford student loans. Exit interview information will be mailed to all graduating students in March. Exit Interviews will be conducted during the month of April. Failure to complete an exit interview or to resolve any outstanding financial obligation to the University will result in a hold being placed on your diploma and transcript.

- Photographs
A professional photographer will take pictures of each undergraduate student receiving his or her diploma. In early April, you will receive information about placing orders from the photographer, Commencement Photos, Inc. If you do not receive this information, call 978-851-5924.
