The Connors Family Retreat and Conference Center is a 50,000-square-foot estate ideal for meetings and conferences, group outings and team building, spiritual retreats and reflection, and weddings and social functions. Located in Dover, Massachusetts, the Connors Center is less than 20 miles from Boston, offering convenience on an 80-acre picturesque, historical setting. The center has recreation facilities and walking trails that lead to the Charles River. An on-site chapel provides a beautiful setting for a traditional indoor Catholic wedding ceremony. Guests who prefer an outdoor ceremony can take advantage of our exquisite gardens.

History of the Connors Center
The history of the Connors Center dates back to 1902, when Arthur Davis and his wife, Mary, purchased the property and built the Davis family home and estate. Mary was the daughter of Benjamin Cheney, a successful businessman and a founder of American Express. The estate featured formal gardens and fieldstone paths designed by Olmstead and Vaux, famed designers of New York City’s Central Park.

In 1949, the Dominican Order purchased the estate, renaming it St. Stephen’s Priory, and in 1950 welcomed a class of 41 novices. In 1952, the Dominican Order added a 70-room addition to the original Davis home.

In 2004, Boston College acquired St. Stephen's Priory, and in 2005 John (Jack) Connors '63 and his wife, Eileen '66, MSW '95 donated $10 million to establish The Connors Family Retreat and Conference Center.  Today, the Connors Center hosts retreats, events, and meetings for Boston College and the broader community.
