Please navigate to 42 Hammond St., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. This address is at the top of the road that will lead you down to the College Road residence halls. Once you turn onto Hammond St., continue down this road until you reach the residence halls. You will be directed where to stop by police stationed in the area.
The driver will leave the drop-off location and park the emptied car in either the Commonwealth Avenue or Beacon Street Garage, located on Lower Campus. All traffic will exit from Hammond St.
- To get to the Commonwealth Avenue Garage, turn left down College Road, right onto Commonwealth Avenue, right at St. Ignatius Church, and right onto St. Thomas More Drive/Campanella Way. The garage is located on the right past the first bus stop.
- To get to the Beacon Street Garage, continue down Beacon Street and turn left just past Alumni Stadium.
The upperclassmen and transfer student move-in date is Friday, August 30. If personal circumstances make arriving on Friday impractical, an application for early arrival may be considered for Thursday, August 29, at the earliest. When applying, please be as detailed as possible. Examples of personal circumstances include travel in excess of 300 miles, working parents, etc.
Students affiliated with a BC-sponsored organization must contact their coach or advisor regarding early-arrival information. Details about the early arrival application process are available here.
For any questions about early arrival, please email email@example.com.
NO MOVE-IN is allowed for any students on Saturday, August 31 due to the Boston College vs. Villanova football game. If a student cannot arrive on the scheduled move-in date, they may check in late on Sunday, September 1 or Monday, September 2.
Late check-in can be done at the Office of Residential Life, Maloney Hall, Suite 220. On these days, the office will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
