Parking is not allowed near College Road residence halls during Opening Day. Restrictions will be strictly enforced.

For traffic reasons, please navigate to 42 Hammond St., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. This address is at the top of the road that will lead you down to the College Rd. residence halls. Once you turn onto Hammond St., continue down this road until you reach the residence halls. You will be directed where to stop by Boston College Police staff.

The driver will leave the drop-off location and park the emptied car in either the Commonwealth Ave. or Beacon St. garage. All traffic will exit from Hammond St.

  1. To get to the Comm. Ave. Garage, turn left down College Rd., right onto Comm. Ave., right at St. Ignatius Church, and right onto St. Thomas More Drive/Campanella Way. The garage is located on the right past the first bus stop.
  2. To get to the Beacon St. Garage, continue down Beacon St. and turn left just past Alumni Stadium.

Early Arrivals

The Returning Undergraduate move-in date is Friday, August 31. If personal circumstances make arriving on Friday impractical, an application for early arrival may be considered for Thursday, August 30, at the earliest. When applying, please be as detailed as possible. Examples of personal circumstances include travel in excess of 300 miles, working parents, etc.

In addition, if you are part of an approved group or are currently living off campus in the Brighton area, you may apply to come back to campus beginning Monday, August 27.

Students with special circumstances may request early-arrival status. Students affiliated with a BC-sponsored organization must contact their coach or advisor regarding early-arrival information. Details about and an application for early arrival are available here.

For any questions about early arrival, please email transitions@bc.edu.
