At OA we take pride in having the best trained and most qualified student trip leaders.  To become a trip leader you need to take our Outdoor Leaders Class that is offered in the fall.  You also need to obtain a valid wilderness medical certification, which are offered through the OA program, and lead some training trips under experienced leaders.  Becoming a student trip leader is a lot of work, but leading trips is a great way to build your leadership skills and have fun!  For more information please contact OA at outdooradventures@bc.edu.

“Being a trip leader for OA has been awesome. Having my peers come experience the outdoors, especially when it’s their first time doing it, is my favorite part. I get to expose them to the things and places I love that they would never get to see otherwise. So even though it’s a lot of work, it never feels like it when you see the excitement of people trying something for the first time.”

I’m taking a trip this weekend, but don’t have some of the gear I need…

We’ve got you covered!
