Campus Recreation offers many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate student employment. All prospective applicants should read through the BC Rec Recruitment Slideshow (embedded below), then check out the available positions.

SUMMER 2013
Camp Counselor
Job Description
We are seeking energetic and responsible students who enjoy being around kids. Applicants should be approachable and enthusiastic but yet exhibit patience and self control. Also, should be able to instill the guiding principles of the Boston College Recreation Day Camp simultaneously developing their own personal leadership skills. We are also looking for students who have a creative background in a certain area including but not limited to; dancing, singing, athletics, arts and craft.
Requirements
- Certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and First Aid
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous camp counselor experience or history working with elementary aged children preferred.
- Committed to work 40 hours for 6 weeks. July 1 – August 9, 2013, Monday – Friday, 8:30AM - 5PM as well as orientation sessions.
Starting pay rate: $9.50 per hour

Job Description

Marketing/Graphic Design Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a creative student with an eye for design to assist the Marketing & Communications Manager with production of posters, flyers, tv slides, facility signage, web graphics, etc. Other tasks may include promotion of programs and special events, administrative work, market research and possibly some photography or web updates, depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Personable, flexible, outgoing, hard working, passionate
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and loves a good challenge
- An eye for design and ability to create visually appealing work
- Capable of taking direction and multi-tasking
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
- Comfortable working on a PC – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with photography and web design are a plus
NOTE: This job requires a part-time commitment (average of 20 hr/wk). Days available: Monday – Friday, within the hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekends may apply.
