Student Affairs VP Patrick Rombalski Resigns

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (11-5-12) -- Patrick Rombalski, vice president for student affairs at Boston College since 2008, has announced that he is resigning from his position.

“After four years at Boston College, I have decided to leave my position as vice president for student affairs to pursue broader interests in the field of higher education," Rombalski said in a statement.

"In the near term, I will be attending to personal issues. I will also be consulting, as well as continuing my involvement in volunteer programs.  I would like to thank [University President] Fr. Leahy and [Executive Vice President] Pat Keating for giving me the opportunity to serve our students, and I am particularly grateful to the staff in the Division of Student Affairs for their extraordinary contributions and for the progress we have achieved during this time.”

Executive Vice President Patrick J. Keating will oversee the Student Affairs division until a successor is named. A search will begin this month.
