Twitter, TripAdvisor Entrepreneurs Share Their Stories with Students at Tech Day 2009
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (10-2-09) - Entrepreneurs behind the successful launches of companies such as Twitter and TripAdvisor share their insights with students from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College on Tech Day, an annual event centered on careers and life in the tech sector.

Bijan Sabet, general partner at the venture capital firm Spark Capital, will address the gathering in the morning session. During his career as an entrepreneur and investor, Sabet, a 1991 graduate of Boston College, has led investments in a number of hot Web properties, including Twitter, Tumblr and Boxee, among others. Prior to joining Spark, he was senior vice president of GameLogic after serving as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Charles River Ventures.

In the afternoon session, students will meet Stephen Kaufer, CEO of TripAdvisor. Kaufer co-founded TripAdvisor in 2000, and has remained to grow the unit as an operating company of Expedia, Inc. Today, the Newton, Mass.-based TripAdvisor is the world’s largest online travel community, and the largest Web 2.0 firm in the Northeast.
