When proofreading your document, you should be looking for consistency of style and typographic errors that may have occurred in the process of laying out your document text. You should reference your original text to make sure that all chapter titles, heads, and other styles such as italics or underlines are formatted properly. In addition, you should be looking for general consistency of formatting such as space between paragraphs, line spacing, and alignment. Using the style sheets built into the templates will help minimize errors in formatting, but no system is perfect. We recommend you have at least three people proof your document before it goes to press, one of whom should be a professional proofreader.
