GET TO KNOW THE OISS STUDENT STAFF!
Yini Guan started working at the OISS this past summer. She has been a delightful and valuable addition to our office!
Originally from China, she is now a junior at BC studying Human Development with minors in Human Resource Management and Special Education. Her favorite aspect of BC is that everyone is very “enthusiastic” about volunteering. Not only is she part of PULSE, but she also is a member of Strong Women Strong Girls; this past fall she also became an IA (International Assistant) in a program where BC students are paired with new international students to assist them with adjustment to American culture and life at BC .
To her, being an IA is about “giving back.” She had such a wonderful and helpful IA when she first arrived that she wanted to return some “goodness to the community” by becoming one herself. She is currently paired with three students from China...Continue
