INTERNATIONAL AND MULTICULTURAL EVENTS! Employment Workshop for International Students: The OISS carries out an Employment Workshop Series, providing information on immigration regulations related to work, tips on interviewing and job-searching. The focus for this program will be interviewing for jobs in the US. We will be discussing the most important factors in this process, as well as how it can differ in the US from your home countries. Jamaican Film Series: Dancehall Queen: As part of the African & African Studies Department's annual Film Series presentation, one of this year's themes is Jamaican Films under the guidance of Director Dr. Rhonda Frederick. Dancehall Queen portrays the tale of Marcia, a street vendor who escapes her life as a single mother living in the ghetto section of Kingston, Jamaica. She finds both excitement and refuge in a dancehall club. Gaudete in Carminibus: A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in the Romance Language Tradition: Join some of the best musicians from Boston College and the St Ignatius parish community as we present a traditional nine lessons & carols concert with a twist: everything in Romance Languages (translations will be provided)! |
