Boston College recently hosted a Summit on Vocations on June 20-21, 2013. The goal of the Summit was to share new insights regarding what promotes and what hinders vocations and facilitate dialogue toward developing a national strategy for fostering vocations. Presenters from CARA, The Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate, introduced their research to a group of clergy and religious from across the United States.

A program of The Office of First Year Experience, First Year Academic Convocation 2013 will take place on Thursday, September 12 and feature Bill Strickland, author of Make the Impossible Possible. Members of the Class of 2017 and incoming transfer students will receive a copy of the book, as well as a custom Boston College reading guide, when they attend Orientation.
