Arrupe International Immersion Program
Welcome to the Arrupe International Immersion Program web page!
The Arrupe International Immersion Program empowers participating undergrad students, primarily through undergrad student leaders and mentors, to build intentional faith-sharing communities. Together with their mentors, students learn about the complex reality, from a historical, social, economic, political and religious perspective, of people from another country who struggle in poverty. The program is named for Fr. Pedro Arrupe, a past Superior General of the Society of Jesus. Fr. Arrupe believed that living the gospel requires effective solidarity with a suffering world. He was a pioneer in urging the combination of pastoral concern, biblical reflection and social analysis.
