The Liturgy Arts Group serves the community of Boston College by sharing its gift of music at Sunday liturgies and special events on campus.  With song and instruments, the Liturgy Arts Group is committed to enlivening and enriching the worship experience.  The Liturgy Arts Group believes in the tradition of music making as an expression of faith.  As pilgrims on a sacred journey, the students in LAG envision facilitating liturgical participation as responsibility and special privilege.  Through praise of God in song and prayer, the community finds its way to greater depth and joy in its service to God and others.

Purpose

Through weekly meetings which include singing and playing through the music and praying together, the Liturgy Arts Group prepares for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy and for the special celebrations such as Mass of the Holy Spirit, Parents' Weekend, Baccalaureate and other special events.

MEMBERSHIP

We welcome all students with a love for creating music. If you are a singer, instrumentalist, handbell ringer or visual artist, we invite you to enliven the experience of worship on campus by sharing your special gift at the regular weekend liturgies and at special events throughout the year.
