Slow Down
15 Minutes of Peace and Quiet and Prayer - an opportunity to re-center. We gather in the chapel in Cushing (next to Room 326) on Thursdays at 4PM and conclude at 4:15. It’s a time for reflection on a small Scripture selection and for intercessory prayer. We start and conclude promptly so that you’ll be free for your next event!

Growing through Grief
Are you grieving the death of a loved one? Growing through Grief is a group for undergrad and graduate students that meets on Mondays at 5:30PM The 1st meeting Januray 28, 2013 in room 205B in the Service Building, just behind the Connell School of Nursing/Cushing.
Faith Sharing
Small groups for faith sharing form each semester. If you're interested, email Sr. Mary.

Catholic, with Questions?
Not studying theology but wish you knew more about your Catholic faith? Thee are many great articles that can expand your understanding of Catholicism. If you'd like to get together with a small group of grad students to review Catholicism and look at various topics (liturgy, sacraments, morality, Bible, Catholic practices) email Sr. Mary.
Volunteer
Interested in a volunteer opportunity? The Center for Volunteer and Service Learning has many possible sites. Go to: bc.edu/offices/service

Considering Catholicism?/RCIA
Do you have questions about Catholicism? Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic? Are you interested in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation? A group gathers on Tuesday nights, 7-9PM to look at the faith and practices of the Church.
Former Jesuit Volunteers and ROSTROs
If you're a former JV, Rostro de Cristo Volunteer or other Church Volunteer, please check back for future events and gatherings.
Pray!
For a boost for your prayer life, check out sacredspace.ie (sponsored by the Jesuits of Ireland) and pray-as-you-go.org (sponsored by the Jesuits in Britain). Also there are daily masses at St. Mary's Chapel, the Jesuit residence, at 8AM, 11AM and noon, Monday-Friday. In addition, St. Ignatius has daily masses at 12:15 and 5:30PM, Monday-Friday.

Grad Retreats
Join us for Twilight Retreats at Murray House. These events take place several times a semester and are meant to provide grad students with an occasion to meet folks from other BC programs, to enjoy a nice meal, and to pause for some reflection and sharing. Please check back for upcoming retreats.
Off Campus Church
Are you looking for a Sunday community for liturgy? Young adults have often found communities at St. Ignatius Parish Church at the corner of the campus, St. Cecelia's near the Prudential Center in the Back Bay, and Our Lady Help of Christians on Washington Street in Newton, near the Mass Pike.
Prayer for Graduate Students
for the Beginning of the School Year
Loving God, as I begin this semester in grad school, I offer you my thanks for the gifts that you have given me. You have blessed me in numerous ways and have put good and generous people on my path.
As the semester unfolds, keep me mindful of those blessings and of the wonderful opportunities that have enabled me to be here pursuing graduate studies. When the challenges arise, keep before me the joy that brought me to my field of study and the hope that calls me to keep moving forward.
May your Spirit guide me and direct this university. I pray this through Christ, your son and my brother, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
