Fr. Tony Penna has been at Boston College since 1991. Before coming to Boston College, he was a chaplain at the College of the Hoy Cross in Worcester, MA, and earlier, at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA. Being a graduate of Boston College, Fr. Tony feels that in a timely way he has come home to the Jesuit tradition that was so instrumental in shaping his own spirituality and vocation during his undergraduate years. Aware of the impact Boston College and its Ignatian spirituality has had on his life, Fr. Tony sees every day at Boston College as an opportunity to express this indebtedness by “paying it forward” in a sense. He hopes that his ministry, in conjunction with the much good work done by colleagues throughout the university, may do for some student what was so generously and effectively done for him during his undergraduate years at the Heights.
