Have a Green Christmas
12/21/11
At Christmas time, many of us tend to relax a bit – an extra helping of dessert, a little too much egg nog, or maybe watching a football game instead of getting some exercise.
Just because it’s the holiday season doesn’t mean you can’t be green.
BC’s Office of Energy and Engineering offered some important tips on helping BC stay green over the semester break.
Here are some additional steps you can take – it may not be too late!
- Running a little late putting up the tree this year? Get a real one.
- Still haven’t finished your shopping? Here are some green gadgets to stuff those stockings with.
- Are you still using the same bulbs your parents used? Upgrade to more efficient LED Christmas lights. Or, better yet, use fewer bulbs than your neighbor to help save energy.
You may not be able to do much about Santa’s carbon footprint, but you can enjoy Christmas and technology, as well as try to be green.
Merry Christmas from BC ITS.
