How to Create an Album
bcshare documentation
Creating an album in BCshare allows you to share your photos with your friends, who can also post comments about the photos.
Click on the "Albums" link in the left navigation menu and scroll down to "Create Album."

This brings up the Album creation page. There is one required field, "Title," and a text box for entering and formatting the information about your Album. There are also another drop-down menu, "Sort Order," that allows you to organize and display your album in a variety of ways. If you need more room in the "Album Description" field, simply drag the bottom right of that field window downward and rightward to expand it.

There is also a "Groups" section on this page in which you control who can access your Album; it is open to all BCshare registered users by default. You can also save your Album in Draft mode until you're ready to publish it, or preview it without saving by using the "Preview" button.

This is the screenshot you'll see once you have created your Album.

Now you can begin to add pictures to your Album. Click on the "Pictures" tab to upload up to ten images at a time. Use the "Browse" button to find your pictures, then hit the "Submit" button.
PLEASE NOTE: Only the following image file types can be uploaded into your Album:
- JPEG
- PNG
- GIF
You can also upload ZIP files, or TAR files that have been gzipped or bzipped. The maximum file size for EACH file is 4 MB, and the TOTAL file limit is 20 MB.

You will see a message that your Album is being "built." Once that is complete, the "Manage" tab appears, and you can add captions to your photos or delete them.

Click on the "View" tab to see your photos. You can scroll through the Album by clicking on the Filmstrip images above the photo, or by on the forward and backward arrows on each end of the Filmstrip.

To add more photos or edit your existing photos, click on the "Pictures" tab. To edit your Album information, click on the "Edit" tab.
Reordering Your Photos
Under the Edit tab, select "Sort Order," where you can choose how to arrange your photos.

If you choose the "Custom" option, green arrow icons appear when you access the "Pictures > Manage" tab. These arrows allow you to reorder your photos up to the top, down to the bottom, or incrementally up and down. You can also hold down the Control key and use your keyboard up and down arrows to reorder your photos.
