Deciding how to score responses

If you want to give students credit  for their responses, you’ll need to tell i>clicker how to allocate points.

Responses can be scored in two broad categories depending upon the goal of the instructor:

  1. Participation points: The students will receive points for answering a predetermined number of questions in the session. The correctness of the answer is not taken into consideration. This can be used for assigning participation points or taking attendance.
  2. Performance Points: The students will receive points for correctly answering questions. The questions with marked correct answers can be prepared in advance and fed into the system. The correct answer can be also marked at the end of a session through i>grader.
