BCshare Groups for Teaching

BCshare groups offers instructors a flexible set of teaching tools to foster collaborative learning and student publishing in the classroom. IDeS is responsible for supporting BCshare Groups for instructional purposes, so if you would like to talk with someone about how to use BCshare in your teaching, please feel free to contact us using the BCshare Help Request Form. To use BCshare outside of your teaching, please email ShareHelp@bc.edu.
BCshare is a web-based collaboration and publishing tool designed to help members of the Boston College community share content and collaborate with others online.
Individual Publishing
BCshare enables each user to create a profile and publish web pages, resumes, CV's, blog posts, and photo albums. Users have the option to make content available either just to the BC community or to the public at large.
Group Spaces
For those needing a shared space to work together with others, the groups feature in BCshare provides a suite of collaborative tools: a wiki, a group blog, a discussion forum, and photo albums. Group administrators can invite members either from within the university or from outside BC, and any group member is allowed to add content to the site. Group members can also can decide whether to make their content available to the public or to restrict access to members of the group.
