From the drop down menu, select “Voice Email:”
To send a voice email from your Blackboard Vista course website, perform the following steps:
Make sure that your headset with microphone is attached to your computer, or make sure that your internal microphone is able to adequately record the message that you wish to post.
Log in to your course website at cms.bc.edu and click on the “Build” tab in the menu bar at the top of your screen; then click on the “Add Content Link” tab:
The “Create Voice Email” window will appear; click “Create Voice Email:”
The Create Voice Email Window appears; enter a title for your email and then click “Continue:”
The Create Voice Email Window opens; adjust settings as you would like or leave them in default positions and click “Continue:”
Voice Email automatically adds an icon to the homepage of your Bb Vista course site:
To record your voice email, if you are in the “Build” tab, click on the drop down menu to the right of the name of the icon (“Sample” above) and click “Preview.” If you are in the “Teach” or “Student View” tab, just click on the icon. The Launch Voice Email Window will appear; click Setup Wizard and follow the wizard’s prompts to make sure that your computer is ready to use Voice Email. When the wizard finishes, click “Launch Voice Email:”
The Select Email Addresses window opens. Select your email recipients and click “Continue"
The Send Voice Email window opens:
To begin your recording, click the red circular button. To stop recording, press the darkened square button:
To play your message click the green arrow button:
