Set Up a Web folder on Windows 7 and Windows Vista
myfiles@bc
In addition to working with files through a web browser, you can also create a web folder on your computer. This allows you to easily drag files into a folder on your computer that represents your space on the MyFiles@bc server.
If you create a web folder on your Windows computer for your MyFiles@bc space, you can:
- Use MyFiles@bc files and folders just like local files and folders on your computer. Save, open, and delete files from your MyFiles@bc web folder through most applications, such as Word or Excel, just as you would do with files or folders on your computer — instead you are saving to your MyFiles@bc space.
- Drag and drop files or cut and paste them directly into your MyFiles@bc web folder within Windows.
Note: You cannot set up sharing of files or folders through the web folder. If you want to share files or folders, learn how to use the web application to set up sharing.
