About Windows 7 at Boston College

Microsoft commercially released Windows 7 on October 22, 2009. This most recent version of the Microsoft operating system simplifies everyday tasks with improved desktop navigation, home networking, and searching capabilities.

• Windows 7 is now being deployed through the BCCR Program.
• Computers bought through the BC Laptop Purchasing Program have Windows 7 installed on them.
• Students: Lean how to migrate to Windows 7 at the Walk-In Help Desk.
• Faculty and staff: If you are interested in moving to Windows 7, please contact your Technology Consultant.
