Alternative Numbers
Important: You must click the Save button to retain any changes you make in the web interface. If you do not make any changes, or do not wish to save your changes, simply use the tabs at the top of the page to navigate to a different page.

You can specify a Call Forwarding Number if you want your calls diverted to another telephone number instead of playing a Mailbox greeting to the caller. The greeting will still be played to the caller if the number is busy or there is no reply. Ensure this field is blank if you do not want your calls forwarded.
Specify a Temporary Call Forwarding Number if you want to use a different number for your Call Forwarding number, but only for a short period of time. The temporary number overrides your normal Call Forwarding Number until you delete it. Ensure this field is blank if you do not want your calls forwarded.
An Assistant Number is the telephone number of a person who might be a useful contact for your callers. Specify an Assistant Number if you want your caller to be able to press 5 while listening to your Mailbox greeting and be transferred to your assistant. If you specify this number then you should ensure that your recorded greetings inform the caller that they have the option of being transferred to your assistant by pressing 5. The caller will be returned to your greeting if the number is busy or there is no reply. Leave this field blank if you do not want your callers to have the assistant option.

Specify a Reach-Me Number if you want your caller to be able to press 3 while listening to your Mailbox greeting and be transferred to another of your telephone numbers. If you specify this number then you should ensure that your recorded greetings inform the caller that they have the option of being transferred to your alternative number by pressing 3. The caller will be returned to your greeting if the number is busy or there is no reply. Leave this field blank if you do not want your callers to have the reach-me option.
Specify a Temporary Reach-Me Number if you want to use a different number for your Reach-Me number, but only for a short period of time. The temporary number overrides your normal Reach-Me Number until you delete it. Leave this field is blank if you do not want your callers to have the reach-me option.
Only specify the Operator telephone number if you want to override the Message Center default Operator number specified by the system administrator. Callers are able to press 0 while listening to your Mailbox greeting to be transferred to the Operator. You should always ensure that your recorded greetings inform the caller that they have this option. The caller will not be returned to your greeting if the number is busy or there is no reply.
