Review bouncing email addresses

The Review Bouncing Addresses page displays a list of all the email addresses that are bouncing messages back to the service; the message are not being delivered.

The page gives you the opportunity to view and delete bouncing addresses and/or send out a subscription reminder message. A reminder message will update the bouncing address list and will determine if any of the addresses have subsequently stopped bouncing.

Remind All Subscribers

Selecting this link will send a reminder to all the subscribers on the list, informing them of their membership and giving them some general information about the list. It will send this out to all addresses, bouncing or otherwise. This will update the list of bouncing addresses. This is useful to make sure that you are viewing the most current list but it may be an annoyance to subscribers if used too often.

Review bouncing addresses

The list of bouncing addresses is organized into the following columns:

Column Header   Description
Email Address
  • The subscriber's email address which is currently bouncing.
Bounce Score
  • Addresses that are bouncing because their mailbox is full will have lower bounce scores than those which are bouncing because the account doesn't exist.
  • A user's bounce score won't be calculated unless their mail server has rejected at least 10 messages.
Invert Selection
  • This will de-select all currently selected checkboxes and select all currently de-selected checkboxes.
  • You may also use this button to "select all" when none of the checkboxes are currently selected.

If your list is longer than a single page, use the controls below the table to move to other pages.
